Strategic Web Design, Content, and Management Across Platforms

Over the years, I’ve worked across platforms like Wix, Squarespace, and HTML-based CMS to design, manage, and enhance websites for academic institutions, public-facing initiatives, and grant-funded projects. Below is a selection of my web development, management, and copywriting contributions.

UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS)

Platform: HTML / CMS
Role: Web & Publications Specialist

As part of the GPS Marketing Team, I managed and updated 9+ departmental sites, led web audit projects, and archived legacy sites to preserve institutional memory.

  • Maintained routine updates across GPS, 21CCC, 21CIC, USMEX, ILAR, CCD, Fudan, JFIT, CCGT websites.

    My responsibilities included:

    • Maintaining student resource sections, FAQs, and academic program pages

    • Building and publishing new event pages for public lectures, grant opportunities, and fellowships

    • Collaborating across departments to ensure site messaging was consistent and timely

    • Serving as the main liaison between the communications team and department collaborators to implement strategies

  • Role: Web Archivist & Content RewriterLed the continuation of a large-scale digital archive project of five sites:Big Pixel, SDG Policy Initiative, Fudan-UC, ILAR, CCD

    This involved:

    • Downloading full HTML files of legacy pages and organizing them into folder hierarchies that preserved original site architecture

    • Cataloging subpages and media assets for institutional documentation

    • Creating streamlined, updated copy for each site’s most relevant content to be republished on GPS’s main website under archive sections

    • Archived and reorganized five legacy sites: This consisted of downloading and transferring HTML code for every page and organizing each document in respect to the website format

    • Created downsized, relevant web copy for archival content to migrate into new pages on GPS’s main site. Examples:

  • Conducted detailed content edits and formatting updates across multiple high-profile GPS web pages.

      • Drafting new copy to highlight specializations, career pathways, and program benefits

      • Compiling revision documents and collaborating with academic program coordinators for approvals

CALM (Conference on Academic Library Management)

Platform: Wix
Role: Website Manager & Content Creator

As the primary website lead for the Conference on Academic Library Management (CALM), I oversaw both the strategic design and content development of the site. My work supported CALM’s IMLS-funded initiatives, community engagement efforts, and communications infrastructure—ensuring a consistent, accessible, and professional web presence.

Key Contributions:

Committee Biography Page

I led the overhaul of CALM’s committee bio pages to bring consistency, clarity, and accessibility to how team members and grant collaborators are presented.

  • Created a new form for existing members to submit their bios, input new information, or update previous submissions

  • Standardized formatting and structure across all bios

  • Edited and uploaded new content in line with institutional tone and accessibility best practices

This refresh helped visitors better understand CALM’s structure and the people powering its work, while improving clarity for funders and community members.

CALM Chronicle Archive Page

I designed and launched a dedicated archive page to house all editions of the CALM Chronicle, the organization’s newsletter.

  • Built a streamlined and visually accessible page to ensure past issues remain publicly available

  • Organized content by date and issue, using a clean layout and collapsible sections for easy navigation

CALM Blog Page

I launched CALM’s official blog space, helping to expand the organization’s content strategy beyond newsletters and formal announcements.

  • Built and styled a blog framework within Wix, using modular blocks for flexible post formatting

  • Coordinated and uploaded original articles, community spotlights, and thought leadership pieces

  • Established consistent blog formatting and visuals to support ongoing content publication
